You have found a website that is dedicated to the original Schnauzer from the medieval darkages of 15th Century Germany, the Standard Schnauzer.
This site should help give you information about what the standard schnauzer is as a breed, and what to expect from these dogs. If you are just researching the breed to find out more about him or if you are considering obtaining a standard schnauzer for personal ownership I hope that this site helps direct you with your quest. I have a lot of information on this site, perhaps too much, so take your time and look around.

Gretchen, my female at 6 months.
There are three distinct breeds of schnauzers, and there is some confusion concerning this. The Standard Schnauzer is the original schnauzer that was used to develope the Giant Schnauzer and the Miniature Schnauzer.
